Hi. I tried to install VitOS on a Raspberry Pi 4 Model B. And could successfully configure it as a Roon Bridge via the app "VitOS Manager". But controlling it directly via VitOS Orbiter (without Roon) seems to be a problem, because the app doesn't find the Raspberry via WiFi. Manually finding it with the IP-Address produces the following error message: "The firmware version of the VitOS device isn't uptdated, please go to VitOS Manager to update." After clicking the button "Go" VitOS Manager appears for 1 second with the menu point "update firmware", but then crashes. And I cannot find any "firmware update" menu directly in the VitOS Manager either...
Has anybody had success in controlling a Raspberry Pi 4 Model B with VitOS Orbiter? Thanks and best regards. Martin
VitOS doesn´t work on Compute 4 Modules as well- same error message : "The firmware version of the VitOS device isn't uptdated, please go to VitOS Manager to update. "
So you cannot control Raspi4 devices with VitOS and VitOS manager . What gives ???.
< 100 $ for lifelong use of Vitos , not updated for 2 years , that doesnt boot on Raspis 4 and
Yes ! Best idea ever

Nice I’m about ready to buy the m1t and f1 I already have a English electric 8s switch which is identical to the Bonn 8 was curious if the mit has the ability to download new firmware as updates come from silent angel as in VitOS v2 which is close I hear or does a sd card need to be taken out of m1t for update purposes
Hegel h590 intagrated with kef blade 1 speakers
Wow nice I use roon so the m1t can be set up as a roon bridge correct ?
Ok I see does the m1t have some sort of usb hat built on it or what have they done to improve the sound of a standard rasberry pi I see the internals of the m1t and can spot the rasberry board was curious what they incorporate into to it that improves on a regular rasberry pi thanks seriously thinking about buying it with the f1 power supply I already own the switch
A standard Raspberry Pi 4 Model B needs at least a reasonable sound upgrade, such as an internal DAC or USB Audio "HAT". Mine has iQAudioPro DAC with decent sound quality, but far away from M1T via Cyrus i9-XR. But still an interesting low cost streamer for beginners or young people with small budget. To connect a Raspberry Pi 4 to an external DAC, a Software to configure it (like Volumio) is needed. VitOS Orbiter does that for M1T and delivers excellent results, especially via USB. I2S might be similarly good, but haven't tried that one (have no DAC with I2S Interface).
So you think m1t sounds better than hime built rasberry pi
Have you thought about buying the m1t streamer that way you could use orbitor not sure it will sound better than a home built rasberry pi as the m1t uses a rasberry pi 4 board inside
I believe the orbiter app is for the zen and m1 and m1t the VitOS download for rasberry pi runs on VitOS manager that’s how I use it
